Section 1
Abbreviation, extension and initialization
(1) The name of this Act is ``Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 2073''. (2) This Act shall be applicable throughout the state of Nepal and shall also be applicable to branches or contact offices opened outside Nepal by banks or financial institutions established in Nepal. (3) This Act will come into effect immediately.
